How does LYRN actually work?

LYRN was built to make finding the right mentor, educator, or hands-on learning opportunity easier.

Instead of endlessly searching Instagram, Googling providers, or wondering who actually teaches, LYRN brings beauty, wellness, and aesthetics professionals into one community where the right connections are easier to find.

Think of it as a matchmaking platform for the beauty industry, helping the people who are ready to learn connect with experienced professionals who are ready to teach.

While LYRN makes discovery and connection easier, mentorships, training opportunities, and professional relationships are built through direct member interaction.

Do I need to be licensed to join LYRN?

Not necessarily.

LYRN welcomes both licensed professionals and individuals actively working toward a career in the beauty, wellness, and aesthetics industries.

If you're currently in school, training, apprenticing, or intentionally building your path into the industry, hands-on mentorship and meaningful connections can help accelerate your growth, build confidence, and expand your opportunities.

All members are responsible for operating within their legal scope of practice and independently verifying who they choose to work with.

Please Read full details in the community guidelines.

Does LYRN verify mentors, educators, or training opportunities?

No.

LYRN is designed to make finding the right connections easier, but choosing who you learn from is ultimately your responsibility.

We encourage members to do their own due diligence, ask questions, review credentials, and make sure any mentorship, training, or professional opportunity feels like the right fit before moving forward.

LYRN helps bring the right people into one space. The relationships themselves are built between members.

Please ensure you've read the Community Guidelines for full details.

How much does LYRN cost, and am I allowed to cancel my membership?

Membership pricing is clearly shared at enrollment, and yes, you can cancel anytime.

Your membership will remain active through the end of your paid billing cycle, and canceling simply prevents future charges.

No confusing contracts. No long-term commitments. Just access to the community, connections, and opportunities designed to help you grow.

Please read full details in the Terms & Conditions.

Can LYRN help me find mentorship or hands-on training near me?

That’s exactly what LYRN was built for.

As the community grows, LYRN is designed to make it easier to connect with beauty, wellness, and aesthetics professionals in your area based on specialty, interests, and location.

Whether you're searching for hands-on aesthetics training, mentorship, apprenticeship opportunities, or industry connections, LYRN helps bring the right people closer together.

Can beauty students or apprentices join LYRN?

Absolutely.

LYRN was intentionally built for both established professionals and those still building their path.

If you're a beauty student, apprentice, trainee, or actively working toward your career in aesthetics, wellness, or beauty, LYRN can help connect you with mentorship, education, and real-world growth opportunities.

Can I become a mentor or educator on LYRN?

Yes.

LYRN was intentionally built for growth at every stage of your career, which means some members may fall into both categories at the same time.

You might be actively learning in one area while confidently teaching or mentoring in another.

Many established beauty, wellness, and aesthetics professionals continue seeking advanced education while also sharing the skills, experience, and knowledge they’ve already developed.

If you have meaningful experience, professional insight, or real-world skills that could genuinely help someone else grow, there may absolutely be a place for you as an educator or mentor within the community.

What are the requirements to become a mentor or educator on LYRN?

LYRN is designed for professionals who are confident in their craft, committed to professionalism, and genuinely interested in helping others grow.

There is no single checklist that applies to every industry, specialty, or mentorship opportunity, but members offering education or mentorship should only do so in areas where they have legitimate experience, competency, and the ability to clearly demonstrate their work.

This may include a portfolio, examples of prior work, relevant experience, licensure where applicable, or other professional background that helps members make informed decisions.

Many professionals continue learning in some areas while confidently mentoring in others, so it’s completely possible to be both a learner and an educator within the LYRN community.

Mentors and educators are expected to represent themselves honestly, communicate professionally, and operate within their legal scope of practice.

LYRN does not independently verify every educator, which is why members are responsible for doing their own due diligence before entering into any mentorship, training, or professional arrangement.

Please read more in the community guidelines.

Do educators set their own pricing?

Yes.

LYRN facilitates connections between members, but educators, mentors, and professionals are responsible for setting their own pricing, terms, availability, and expectations for any off-platform mentorship or training opportunities.

Does LYRN take a commission from mentorships or training bookings?

No.

At this stage, LYRN does not take a percentage of private mentorships, educator bookings, or off-platform training arrangements.

Your membership gives you access to the community and connection opportunities. Any independent arrangements between members remain between those parties.

Can I promote my services inside the community?

Yes, and it’s encouraged.

LYRN was built to help professionals connect, grow visibility, and create opportunity.

That said, there’s a big difference between genuine connection and spammy behavior.

Pushy sales tactics, harassment, repeated unwanted messaging, stalking behavior, or disrespectful interactions will not be tolerated.

Promote professionally. Connect authentically. Please read more in the community guidelines.

Will LYRN offer featured educator promotions?

As the community grows, yes.

LYRN plans to offer optional promotional visibility opportunities where educators or mentors may choose to increase their exposure through featured placements, spotlight promotions, or similar marketing opportunities.

Think boosted visibility to a highly relevant audience, not random internet traffic.

Is LYRN an employment agency or placement service?

No.

LYRN is a community and connection platform.

We do not guarantee employment, apprenticeship placement, mentorship acceptance, or training outcomes.

The platform exists to make valuable connections easier. What members choose to build from those connections is up to them.

Is LYRN responsible if something goes wrong with a mentorship or training relationship?

No.

LYRN helps members connect, but mentorships, services, bookings, financial agreements, and professional relationships are formed directly between members, not through LYRN.

Because of that, LYRN is not responsible for disputes, outcomes, transactions, services rendered, or independent arrangements made between members.

That said, we absolutely want to be aware of concerning behavior within the community.

If you experience dishonesty, misrepresentation, harassment, unsafe conduct, unprofessional behavior, or interactions that violate our community standards, we encourage you to report it to our team so we can review the situation and take appropriate action within the platform when necessary.

Reporting an issue does not guarantee a specific outcome, refund, mediation, or dispute resolution, but helping us maintain a professional and trustworthy community matters.

Please review the Community Guidelines for more

Is there a referral program?

Yes.

LYRN offers a referral program that rewards members for helping grow the community.

Referral eligibility, payout rules, limitations, and terms are outlined separately in our Referral Program Terms.

Is LYRN a multi-level marketing program?

No.

LYRN’s referral program is a single-tier promotional incentive program.

There are no downlines, layered commissions, or multi-level compensation structures.

What if I still have questions?

We get it. Building something new in this industry can feel exciting, confusing, and maybe even a little too good to be true.

The truth is, LYRN was built by beauty professionals who understand the gap between wanting to grow and actually finding the right opportunities.
